Have an ice day!
Wow, hardly anybody's online this morning. What, did the ice storm knock out the Net in the midwest? I hope everyone's safe. Stay warm!

I've got ice, but so far power and 'net. Then again, it may help that the lines are all buried in my neighborhood. Still, this doesn't bode hugely well for my attempt at leaving for Florida tomorrow...

Of course, within an hour of saying that I've had two power glitches... c.c

About 50% of my office went in. I was one of those who didn't. I don't see what the big deal is here in Milwaukee. We had some huge flakes falling about an hour ago, but it's been off and on all morning. Schools are closed, flights are delayed, but out the window I see nothing epic like the NWS and the news have been screaming.

It's WINTER STORM WATCH 2007!@!!!!eleventyeleven!

It's at least 20 below 60 out there...enough to make the entire Bay Area grind to a halt.

"20 below 60" is now part of my winter vocabulary.

You should thank foofers and his gift for exaggeration. Hanging around him has caused exaggeration cooties to rub off on me.

We were too far north and too cold for the ice storm.

I haven't had power since 8 AM yesterday.

And cold kitty! We lost power around 10 AM on Monday, and as far as I know, it's still off. I'm posting this from work, which didn't have power until this morning, either.

My furnace is gas, but sadly has electrical valves and blower, so was inoperable. My house was "only" 50 degrees when I left for work this morning, which is liveable, but not comfortable.
