No Big Surprise Here.

Which is the right religion for you? (new version)
created with QuizFarm.com
You scored as Agnosticism

You scored as agnosticism. You are an agnostic. Though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in

God, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic. Agnostics do not know or claim to know whether or

not God exists, but could admit that someone else might know. An intellectually honest agnostic would have to take that

position, as he has no more evidence of the impossibility of knowing God than he has of the existence of God.

Agnosticism is a philosophy that God's existence is not proven. Some say it is possible to be agnostic and follow a religion;

however, one cannot be a devout believer if he or she does not truly believe.

Ahh, the joys of Agnosticism. ^^ I tend to fall into that label quite often. Namely as I find the utter belief in a supreme being just as silly as the utter disbelief. Why get worked up over something you cannot possibly prove?

Just go all zen and whatnot, and live this life without worry about the possibility of the next.

O RLY, Quiz Writer Who Is Clearly An Expert. What if I believe you can't know? Is that okay for us heathens, to just believe something based on what little we can observe, or is that reserved for the right people?

Oops! You believed!

BZZT! I'm sorry, you have failed the Agnostic Entrance Exam! Please select from our wide selection of Faith-Based Religions That May Suit Your Needs Better.

Apparently, the quiz writer doesn't quite grasp the difference between "I do not know" and "I cannot hold beliefs or opinions of any kind", or "I have abandoned any critical reasoning facilities and must consider all possibilities, models and opinions equally valid."

paka was nonplussed by the quiz writer's grasp of Judaism, as well.

The more I think about this, the more the writer's attitude bugs me. I find "Okay, so I want God to exist and I believe religion has value, but I also acknowledge that there might not be anything out there" to be a very intellectually honest statement for the would-be devout. I mean, where's that one fit on their belief scale?
