Coyote Loves Me.
When I used my "Coyote Laughs" icon on my post about the Hot Smoked Sausage prank, I thought to myself, "Oh, that's just asking for trouble. Somehow, some way, that's going to wind up biting you on the ass."

Well, I had one of those sausages for lunch, and another for dinner.

I've been fighting off the remains of the flu for the last few days, and when I'm not feeling my best, my stomach sometimes has trouble digesting certain things.

Like capsaicin.

Let's just say that particular bit of foresight was more literal than I expected.

...an interesting quote, considering from whence developed the word "petard." :D

I know there's a price, but I don't care. I want a HOT dog anyway. Gotta see if I can find some around here.

Dude, they're 16 to a pack, and you're SHOWING UP ON FRIDAY.

There'll be some left, I promise.

don't want to steal all your hot dogs. Or Quel's Favored Elixir, either. But whether I take some or not, it would stll be good if I could get some around here.

On your recommendation I did buy some Bar-S regular hot dogs today though. We'll see how they taste.

And by the way, we're coming Thursday. :)

ACK! Can you LJ-Message me with all the flight details? We've lost'em again.

Done.

You didn't have trouble digesting the capsaicin, but some almost certainly some indigestible organic matter what was saturated with capsaicin (probably seed bits). The distinction is superficially trivial but reasonably vital - capsaicin promotes bile production and is generally really good for digestion. Indigestible fibrous matter (seeds) that are saturated in capsaicin are almost certainly the real culprit. Put some finely ground cayenne powder into a capsule and swallow it after a diet of easily digested foodstuffs if you want a simple demonstration of this. The fault lies not with the capsaicin, but almost certainly that your chili sausages got their heat by poorly ground up seeds from a chili plant such as cayenne.

Do not slander the chili!

Point, and that is indeed what I meant. You can see the seed husks in the sausage.

(Among other places...)

Thank you for implying that your poop had seed husks in it. Just the image I wanted to visualize, hehe. THANK YOU! Tomorrow, I will take pictures of my poop and show them on the Intertubes. ;)
