The Far Call: The Eagle Has Landed

Former U.S. astronaut, Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon, has died at the age of 82.

Godspeed on this journey, Commander. You gave us all, the whole human race, a gift beyond measure, and someday, perhaps, we will finally allow ourselves to inherit your legacy.

He did get to leave one virtually immortal legacy: the first footprint on the lunar regolith. That likely will outlast humanity itself, and may well even outlast life on Earth.

Quite a legacy for him, and one, I indeed hope, we live up to some day. Right now, it ain't looking too promising.
